Hi, I'm David Haynie! I picked up my first pickleball paddle back in 1983, long before the sport became the global phenomenon it is today. What started as a simple game turned into a lifelong passion — one that has allowed me to witness firsthand how pickleball brings people together, builds confidence, and genuinely changes lives.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of coaching every level of player, from brand‑new beginners learning their first dink to advanced athletes who have since become professional players. As a national champion and highly sought‑after coach, my focus has always been on helping people grow with intention — not just improving their skills, but elevating their mindset, strategy, and connection to the game.
Whether I'm breaking down a third‑shot drop, teaching court awareness, or helping someone unlock a breakthrough moment, my coaching style is rooted in clarity, encouragement, and progression. I believe growth should feel exciting, achievable, and deeply rewarding.

I've been married to my husband for 28 wonderful years, and together we've raised our four amazing kids. When I'm not playing pickleball, you'll usually find me outdoors—tending to my garden, fishing, camping, hiking, or paddleboarding out on the water.
